J & B Human Services LLC (“J & B,” “we,” “us”) provides non-medical homemaker and companion care to older adults in Middleborough, Lakeville, Carver, Halifax and Plympton, Massachusetts. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, phone, email and text messages, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, phone number, email address, town and message when you use our contact form, call, email or text us; and the details you provide on our caregiver application.
- Care information. If you become a client, the information we need to plan and provide services, kept in your client record.
- Technical information. Our website host collects standard data such as IP address, browser type and page-performance measurements to keep the site running and secure.
- Anonymous visit counts. Our website counts page views and taps on buttons such as “Call” and “Book”, along with the general type of device, browser language and the website that referred you. We do not use cookies for this, and we do not record your IP address, name or any other detail that identifies you. Browsers set to “Do Not Track” are not counted.
How we use your information
- To respond to your questions and arrange a consultation.
- To schedule and provide services, and to send visit reminders and updates.
- To review job applications and, for our caregivers, to share shift schedules and work updates.
- To send text messages you have agreed to receive (see below).
- To meet legal, insurance and funding-program requirements.
Text messaging
If you agree to receive text messages from us, we use your mobile number only to send the messages described in our SMS Terms. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
All of the categories of sharing listed in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
How we share information
J & B Human Services does not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us run the business (for example, web hosting, email, secure data storage and payroll), who may use it only to provide those services to us;
- With the care manager or agency that referred or funds a client’s care, as needed to coordinate that care;
- When required by law, or to protect the safety of a client, caregiver or the public; or
- With your permission.
How we protect and keep information
We limit access to people who need it to do their jobs and use password-protected, access-controlled systems. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires.
Your choices
- You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by contacting us below. Some records must be kept by law.
- You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
