These terms apply to the website jbhumanservices.com and to text messages from J & B Human Services LLC (“J & B Human Services,” “we,” “us”). By using the site or opting in to our texts, you agree to them.
About our services
J & B Human Services provides non-medical homemaker and companion care to adults in Middleborough, Lakeville, Carver, Halifax and Plympton, Massachusetts. We do not provide medical or nursing care. Personal care (hands-on help with bathing, dressing, grooming and similar daily activities) is not yet available; when it begins, it will be provided only by trained aides under a written service plan reviewed by our registered nurse supervisor. Nothing on this website is medical advice. The services, rates and schedule for any client are set out in a separate written service agreement, which controls if it differs from anything on this site.
Using this website
- Please give accurate information when you contact us or apply for a job.
- Do not use the site or its forms to send unlawful, harmful or misleading content, or to try to access systems you are not permitted to use.
- The content, logo and design of this site belong to J & B Human Services LLC and may not be copied for commercial use without our permission.
- We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided “as is,” and we are not liable for errors, interruptions or information on sites we link to.
SMS Terms
Our text messaging program is run by J & B Human Services LLC. Texts are sent from (508) 273-2810 (local) and (855) 884-7681 (toll-free). The full SMS terms are below and at jbhumanservices.com/sms-terms.
What we text about
- Clients and families: replies to your inquiry, consultation and visit scheduling, visit reminders, caregiver arrival or schedule changes, and service updates.
- Job applicants and caregivers: follow-up on your application and a link to finish it, staff portal sign-in codes, reminders when a required credential (CPR, CNA, license) is about to expire, shift schedules and changes, open-shift notices, and work updates.
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
How you opt in
You agree to receive texts by checking the text-message box on our website contact form or caregiver application, or by signing a client intake form, service agreement or new-hire form that includes text-message consent. Checking the box is optional. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of receiving services or of employment.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies with your schedule and visits. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
How to opt out or get help
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will get one message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no further texts after that.

To start receiving texts again after opting out, reply START.
Other terms
- Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Please do not text us about emergencies. In an emergency, call 911.
- You agree to tell us if you change or give up the mobile number you gave us.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
